Nesting: 3-6 brown-spotted pale green eggs, nest built on ground or low bush made of grass, twigs, rootlets, shredded bark, lined with hair and concealed with weeds | Range: Breeds from Alaska, Manitoba to Mexico, winters primarily in western U.S. but abundant in all 50 states |
Voice: Song consists of three short notes Madge-Madge- Madge put on your teakettle | Diet: spiders, bugs, insects, fruit, fresh leaves, crustaceans and mollusks near coast |
