On Oct. 7 in SW Oklahoma, I encountered a small flock of wild turkeys.  Two young males fought for over 15 minutes.  It was quite a sight to behold. At the end, one fled bleeding and minus a few feathers.  If you look closely, you can see feathers flying in some of these images.

A 3rd mature male stood nearby and "refereed," but he never interfered with the proceedings. Note the bird on the right using his feet to strip feathers from the other bird, who hides his head to protect it from those talon-like feet.
